Privacy Policy
Effective April 1, 2026
Introduction
Prysm ("we," "us," or "our") is a free property valuation tool operated by an individual for informational purposes. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the Prysm website and valuation service (the "Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please discontinue use of the Service.
Information We Collect
Prysm is designed to minimize data collection. We do not require account creation, login, or any form of user registration.
Property Addresses
When you use the Service, you submit a property address to receive a valuation estimate. This address is transmitted to our server to process the request but is not stored in any persistent database or log after the request completes.
No Personal Information
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information (PII). There are no accounts, profiles, or user tracking mechanisms built into the Service.
Automatic Technical Data
Like most web services, our hosting provider may automatically collect limited technical information such as IP addresses, browser type, and access timestamps as part of standard server operations. We do not actively collect, analyze, or store this data ourselves.
Third-Party Services
The Service relies on the following third-party providers to function. Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data:
Rentcast API
We use the Rentcast API to retrieve comparable property sales data. When you submit an address, it is sent to Rentcast to obtain recent sales records in the surrounding area. Rentcast's use of this data is governed by its own privacy policy.
Anthropic / Claude API
We use Anthropic's Claude AI to generate a narrative summary of the valuation analysis. Property data (address and comparable sales information) is sent to Anthropic for this purpose. Anthropic's data handling is governed by its usage policies and privacy policy.
Vercel
The Service is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may collect minimal analytics and technical data as part of its hosting infrastructure. For more information, refer to Vercel's privacy policy.
Cookies and Tracking
Prysm uses minimal or no cookies. We do not employ advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or social media tracking scripts. Vercel's hosting infrastructure may set essential cookies for performance and security purposes. No third-party advertising or analytics cookies are used.
We Do Not Sell Your Data
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer any user data to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration. The only data transmissions that occur are those necessary to provide the Service (sending addresses to Rentcast and Anthropic for processing).
Data Retention
Property address searches are processed in real time and are not stored on our servers after the response is delivered. We do not maintain a database of search history, user queries, or valuation results. Once a request is fulfilled and the response is sent to your browser, no record of the query is retained on our end.
Your Rights (CCPA and GDPR)
Because we do not collect, store, or maintain personal information, there is generally no personal data to access, correct, delete, or port. However, we respect your privacy rights under applicable laws:
- California Residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information is collected, request its deletion, and opt out of its sale. Since we do not collect or sell personal information, these rights are satisfied by design.
- EU/EEA Residents (GDPR): You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, and port your personal data, as well as the right to object to processing. As we do not store personal data, these rights are inherently respected. If you believe we have inadvertently processed your personal data, please contact us.
- Do Not Track: We honor Do Not Track signals by default, as we do not engage in user tracking.
Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
